A Little About Me

I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with adolescents and across a wide range of populations. I also identify as a brown, Asian-Indian, Cishetero Male. My clients include teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life's transitions, whether that's a career change, a relationship shift, a loss, or simply the sense that things need to feel different than they do right now. As a soccer coach and former college athlete, I also have a particular interest in working with athletes navigating the mental side of performance and competition.

Starting Where You Are

You don't need to have it all figured out to start therapy. Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself, and you're not entirely sure why. Maybe you've tried to push through it alone for a while now. Wherever you're starting from is where we begin. My goal is to create a space that feels steady and unhurried, where you can slow down enough to actually look at what's happening within yourself and in your life.

My Approach

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person brings a unique history, nervous system, and set of experiences and needs, so our work together is tailored to you rather than guided by a predetermined template. My clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with elements of evolutionary psychology, to help you better understand the origins of your patterns, fears, and emotional responses. Developing insight into the “why” behind these patterns can create a stronger foundation for meaningful and lasting change.

What We Can Work On Together

I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and significant life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting athletes as they navigate performance pressure, identity beyond sport, injury, and the psychological demands of competition. I also work with clients who have been diagnosed with or are exploring whether they may have Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on meeting each client where they are and recognizing that a diagnosis does not define who they are or determine their capacity for growth and change.

Let’s collaborate!

You don’t have to navigate it all on your own. If you’re looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment, work collaboratively with you, and tailor therapy to your unique needs, I’d love to connect. Reach out today to take the first step toward feeling more grounded, understood, and equipped to navigate life!

Are you curious about Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and how I use it with my clients?

DBT is about Learning to Feel More in Control, Without Having to Change Who You Are

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a practical, compassionate approach that I will use to help you better understand your emotions, manage difficult moments, and build healthier relationships.

If you often feel overwhelmed by your emotions, struggle with intense reactions, have difficulty setting boundaries, or find yourself repeating patterns that you want to change, DBT can provide you with concrete tools to navigate these challenges.

My goal is not to teach you to ignore or suppress your emotions. Instead, I will help you learn how to understand what you are feeling, respond rather than react, and move through difficult experiences with greater confidence and self-compassion.

How I Will Use DBT in Therapy

DBT focuses on practical skills that you can take with you outside of the therapy room. Together, I will help you develop skills in four key areas:

  • Emotional regulation: I will help you understand your emotions, identify what triggers them, and develop healthier ways to manage intense feelings.

  • Distress tolerance: When life feels overwhelming, I will teach you strategies for getting through difficult moments without making things harder for yourself.

  • Mindfulness: I will help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences so you can respond intentionally rather than automatically.

  • Relationship skills: I will help you communicate your needs, set healthy boundaries, handle conflict, and build relationships that feel more balanced and fulfilling.

DBT Is About Both Acceptance and Change

One of the things I value most about DBT is it’s balance between accepting where you are and working toward where you want to be.

You don't have to judge yourself for the ways you've learned to cope. Many of our patterns developed for good reasons and helped us get through difficult experiences. In therapy, I will help you understand those patterns with compassion while also exploring new ways of responding.

Over time, the goal is to help you feel more capable of handling life's ups and downs.
